NICOLAS CANTILLON
NICOLAS CANTILLON was born on July the 20th 1972 in Melun (France). He was singer/guitarist with the band Cryse 17, he started his dance training in the Marius Petipa academy in 1989. One year later he was hired by the Ballet J. Art of Paris where he danced for the following 8 years. In 1999, Andy Degroat hired him for Bob Wilson's production of “The Magic Flute”. He then spent the next 3 years in the Geneva company Alias, directed by Guilherme Botelho. During this period he also works with Gisela Rocha in Zürich, Kylie Walters in Geneva and Marisa Von Stockert in London. In 2000, he founded the Compagnie 7273 with Laurence Yadi.
In 2003, invited by Rui Horta, they participated in the project Colina (Portugal) where they met Julião Sarmento who hired them for an art installation.
